Combination of two small Lower East Side townhouses into a single residence

A family of two artists and their young son lived in two small Lower East Side townhouses that were combined in a hasty renovation in 2002. In this second renovation, DCA added amenities such as a lavish master bathroom and dressing room featuring library-style clothes storage, and an expansive child's playroom/bedroom suite. Extra large skylights over the bath and shower areas increase daylight and volume in the low-ceilinged attic space.
