Combination of two townhouse apartments into a single luxurious new residence.

Two small apartments were combined into a single luxurious residence in this 19th century townhouse. The existing spaces were stripped down to the bricks and rafters, and rebuilt in a new layout more suitable for the owners lifestyle.

DCA collaborated with the owner to source elements such as antique doors, mantelpieces and radiator grilles. They also poured over pattern books and visited historic houses together in search for the right details to recreate. Ultimately this “gut renovation” resulted in a home that feels as if it simply evolved over decades.
