This apartment construction and layout was already perfect, but it needed to be furnished and decorated to create a comfortable yet dramatic environment. The bold paint color scheme and new window treatments and carpets provide a lush background. Replacing the existing backsplash with a hard cut stone mosaic, and buffing up the existing cabinets and counters visually upgrades the kitchen. New lighting, wallpaper and accessories add to the atmosphere of the bathrooms. A blend of new, vintage, and custom-designed pieces by DCA establishes a serene, natural aesthetic. The homeowner’s personal art and treasured objects, juxtaposed with new additions, imbue the space with warmth and individuality.
