DONALD CANTILLO ARCHITECT
Architecture and Design

Donald Cantillo received a Master of Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans and a Master of Urban Planning from New York University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the National Arts Club and a licensed architect in New York and Connecticut. Donald has a certificate in Historic Preservation Studies from the NYU School of Professional Studies.
He studied at the Architectural Association in London for one year and interned for UN Studio in Amsterdam. He was a project architect for Alan Wanzenberg Architect and went on to become a project manager at Selldorf Architects, before opening his own office in 2005.
DCA’s boutique office specializes in residential architecture and has collaborated with notable interior designers such as Anthony Baratta and Florence de Dampierre. Since 2020 Donald and his team have expanded into offering interior design and decorating services to compliment the architectural services he provides.

Services
Architecture
Full range of Architectural Services, in 5 phase: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding & Negotiations, and Construction Administration. The work in these phases starts with programming the project, and guiding it through the approvals and permitting process. It includes designing plans, specifying all equipment, appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry and all finish materials. Once designed DCA brings the project through bidding process with General Contractors, and then attends to the project throughout construction, and any post construction follow-up required.
Interior Design
Complimenting Architectural Services, Interior Design includes an array of services including furniture plans, color and materials schemes, window treatments, carpets, and specialty painting. Furniture and upholstery selection is also offered, as well as accessories, and art selection.
Custom Furniture
In tandem with Architecture and Interior Design services, bespoke wood furniture and/or upholstery is designed and commissioned, to compliment the overall design.
Consulting
DCA offers short-term consulting for projects of all scales. Consultations, design concepts, renderings, sketches and written scopes of work are available to allow clients to pursue their projects independently.
